Feast your eyes on the Mercedes-Benz CLA!

If you are anything like me the pictures of the CLA would be enough – quite frankly, the CLA looks stunning.

As you can see the CLA is a four-door coupe, and it’s a Mercedes-Benz, but it demonstrates further a change in direction for the brand when it comes to styling and image. It has the sporty image of the A-Class and it is built on the same platform as the Mercedes-Benz A Class, rather than the other 4 door coupe Mercedes offer; the CLS.

More details of the CLA have been revealed with its world debut at the Detroit Motor Show nearing. We already knew that the CLA would be the production version of the Concept Style Coupe that Mercedes introduced us to at last year’s Beijing Auto Show, and as far as we can tell, they have stayed faithful to the Concept Coupe’s styling, hardly surprising after the concept went down so well.

The front grille looks impressive and aggressive, with the lights either side looking like the menacing eyes of a wild beast. There is a sloping roofline which is inspired by the Mercedes-Benz CLS and the body features neat folds and grooves which give the car a muscular look, as if it runs on protein shakes rather than the petrol or diesel the engines Mercedes have catered for.

There will be three engines on offer when the CLA goes on sale, two turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engines, or a 2.1-litre four cylinder diesel. For more information go to Buy Your Mercedes.
